How To Always Have A Clean Home Without Wasting Too Much Time On Your Cleaning Chores?

Do you want to know how my home is always spotless?

I clean my home one day at a time during the entire week. That is right – I clean each room on different days of the week. I never exhaust myself and clean every single room in a day. This will take up way too much time and by the end of it, I will be totally exhausted.

I divide all the rooms in my home in days of the week. For example, on Mondays, I clean my living room. On Tuesdays, I focus on my bathroom.

Here Is How I Clean My Home!

On Mondays

As I said, on Mondays I clean my living room. This means that I deep clean the entire room.

I start off with decluttering and putting everything when back to its place. Then I dust off my coffee table, the cabinets, my bookshelf, frames, artwork, my mirror, etc.

Then I continue with my vacuum cleaner. First, I vacuum my couch in order to get rid of any dust and dirt.

Then I continue with vacuuming the floors. Once I do that I grab a lint roller and remove any pet hairs that are on my couch because usually, the vacuum cleaner can’t remove them. If you have a pet then you know this step is crucial!

Once I am done with that I usually clean the windows and move on to mopping the floor. I don’t have any rugs or carpets – my floors are wooden which makes cleaning even easier!

On Tuesdays

It’s time to focus on the bathroom! I myself hate cleaning my bathroom but it’s an important task that needs to be done. This is why I put on some music and start cleaning!

The biggest piece of advice I have for you is to use vinegar and baking soda when cleaning your bathroom. They are very helpful and will clean soap scum, dirt, etc.

I clean my bathtub, showerhead, fixtures, sink, and just about anything in my bathroom with vinegar.

Once I am done with all that I move to the toilet. I usually use a disinfectant.

Once I am done with everything I mop the floors – and I am done for the day!

On Wednesdays

On Wednesdays, I focus on my kitchen! Now, keep in mind that I always clean up after myself after cooking. This means that I don’t let any dirty dishes pile in my sink or stains on my countertops. This makes cleaning my kitchen a lot easier and I don’t spend too much time on it.

Now, once a month I clean my dishwasher by running an empty cycle with a cup filled with vinegar on the inside.

Also, once every few months I deep clean my fridge, oven, microwave, and every other kitchen appliance.

But for my general weekly cleaning, I focus on cleaning and disinfecting the countertops and the table, wiping the chairs with an all-purpose cleaner, replacing the towel, and finally – vacuuming and mopping the floors.

On Thursdays

Now, it’s time to clean the bedroom! My favourite room in my home…

Of course, I start off by replacing the sheets and pillowcases. Another tip I have for you is to wash your pillows once every few months.

Next, I make sure I throw any clothes I have piled in the washing machine. If my closet is messy I take some clothes out, fold them properly then put them back.

Another thing I do is dust off all surfaces including the bed frame!

Then I move to clean the windows and it’s finally time to vacuum and mop!

On Fridays

Now, I have saved the easiest spot for last. It’s the end of the work week and I definitely do not feel like cleaning. This is why on Fridays I focus on my hallway.

I dust off everything, vacuum the floor then mop!

And That Is How I Clean My Home

On Saturdays and Sundays, I relax and spend time with family and friends – I have already cleaned my home during the week, therefore, I don’t need to worry about a single cleaning chore!
